Today, talkSPORT remember former England international and friend of the station Ray Wilkins, who sadly passed away one year ago.
Wilkins died in hospital last April, at the age of just 61, after suffering a cardiac arrest a few days before.
Tributes poured in for the former midfielder and coach, who enjoyed a storied career playing for Manchester United, AC Milan, Paris Saint-Germain and Rangers, although his heart belonged to his first club Chelsea where he later worked as a coach.
He was also a former England captain, earning 84 caps for the Three Lions.
But perhaps more than his achievements on the pitch, Wilkins was known as a gentleman off it.
His passion for the game and non-nonsense attitude made him a perfect pundit, but it was equalled by his huge heart for people, whether he knew them or not.
‘Butch’ is still hugely missed by all at talkSPORT Towers.
And on the one year anniversary of his death, talkSPORT presenters paused to remember their friend and colleague.

A host of former team-mates, managers and players he coached paid tribute to Ray on the day of his passing last year.
He was remembered in an emotional memorial service, as England captains, England managers, team-mates and colleagues from Chelsea, Manchester United, QPR, Milan, PSG and Rangers gathered to reflect on a life lived to its fullest, but cut tragically short.
But one of the most moving tributes came from an anonymous former soldier, who told a story of how one small gesture of kindness from Ray helped transform his life.
It’s perhaps one of the most poignant stories ever told on talkSPORT, and you can listen back to it below.
He moved from West Yorkshire to South Yorkshire, joining Sheffield United for the 2004/2005 season. He would spend just one year at Bramall Lane, and a reunion with Hoddle at Wolverhampton Wanderers the following season proved to be similarly brief. Then, in the summer of 2006, Catterall decided to go back to his roots.
